Diploma in Draughting and Building Technology

The Draughting and Building Technology Diploma Programme is designed to give students a thorough grounding in drafting and other related technical services which will empower them to develop building projects and other structures in the construction industry.

Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 CXCs/or equivalent, (inclusive of Mathematics, English Language), or
  • NVQJ Level 2 in relevant skill area and CXC/CSEC Mathematics and English.
  • Note: Successful applicants having a grade two(2) or three (3) in CXC/CSEC Math are required to sit college Algebra, while those having a grade one (1) will proceed to Pre-Calculus in semester one of the academic year.

The programme is offered on a full time and part time basis on the main campus of the VTDI, which is located at Gordon Town Road, Kingston 6

Full-time:  Year I, II, III:  Monday – Saturday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Part-time: Year I, II, III:  Monday – Friday 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Saturday - 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (four (4) Evenings per week
